Ishikawa Sadamichi (石川貞通)
Sadamichi ISHIKAWA (date of birth and death unknown) was a daimyo (Japanese feudal lord) in Azuchi-Momoyama period. His common name was Koshichiro.
He was Bingo no kami (the provincial governor of Bingo.)
His imina (posthumous name) was Iekiyo.
Sadamichi ISHIKAWA served Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI in Tensho era as the Kenchi survey magistrate of Yamashiro Province, and occupied 12000 koku (crop yields) in Yamashiro Province and Amata county, Tanba Province around 1599 to 1600. In the Battle of Sekigahara, he belonged to the West squad, defended Osaka guchi in July, and then took a part in a campaign in the battle of Tanabe-jo Castle in Tanba Province under the command of Shigekatsu ONOGI. Due to the West squad' defeat, he forfeited his position and properties (Kaieki), then in September in the following year, he was placed under the supervision of Toshinao NANBU, the Lord of Morioka Domain. Sadamichi's descendants continued as feudal retainers of the Domain.
